1 Year / 12,000 Mile Limited Warranty
Passenger Car / Light Duty Truck

This warranty applies to Hauser Automotive Machine, LLC, hereby known as “the company”, remanufactured engines installed by an ASE certified technician at a North Carolina registered automotive repair facility, covering a 1-year period from date of invoice, or 12,000 miles from odometer reading, whichever comes first.

This warranty does not apply to commercial vehicles, performance vehicles, engines with performance parts, or racing applications. Warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not otherwise transferrable.

The Company’s remanufactured engines are warranted against failure that results from defective materials that we provide or workmanship that we perform. All failures will be examined by the company using AERA Failure Analysis guidelines and conclusions will be determined by The Company, not outside sources, or other parties.

Warranty applies to the basic engine block, cylinder heads and internal parts of the engine supplied by The Company. This warranty begins from the date on the original invoice. This warranty covers workmanship and parts, that were damaged during failure due to remanufacturing quality. Parts, repairs, or replacement of such does not extend this warranty.

Warranty does not cover oil, oil filter, antifreeze, fluids, rentals, towing, freight, incidental or consequential damages resulting from losses of time or use of vehicle.

Hauser Automotive Machine, LLC cannot be responsible for damage to engine caused by improper installations performed by a certified technician or negligence of the driver, all of which will be determined by The Company during diagnosis.

Upon discovery of potential problem(s), the customer MUST take immediate action to avoid any further engine damage (discontinue driving vehicle, shutting it off, etc.) and contact repair facility and The Company first. The Company will then diagnose, in coordination with the certified facility who conducted the initial installation and instruct the customer with next procedure.

Warranty services will be provided on failed engine if the engine is returned to The Company so that cause of failure or damage can be determined. If the engine we provided the customer with is tampered with or disassembled elsewhere without our approval or authorization, anytime during the warranty period, then warranty is automatically voided.

If cause of failure or damage of engine is determined NOT to be that of The Company, all costs for repairs, replacement, and labor must be the responsibility of the customer. At that point, the customer will be required to give a 50% deposit before any work is done, and the technician will coordinate payment on his/her end.

Replacement of parts will be provided with the like kind and quality and may be done so with appropriately new, rebuilt, or reclaimed parts. If cause of failure or damage of the engine is determined to be that of The Company, then engine will be repaired at no cost to the customer.

LABOR ALLOWANCE

To qualify for labor allowance, a certified technician must have installed the new engine. Proof of oil and filter change at the first 500 miles and after every 3000 miles must be provided. Labor will be reimbursed at $25.00 per hour, book time (Mitchell, Alldata, etc). Maximum labor payout for any repairs or replacement is not to exceed $350.00. Labor will be paid only during a period of 90 days from original invoice date.

No labor will be paid on non-certified or DIY installations. Proof of certified technician must be provided.

LIMITATIONS

There are many factors that can go wrong with the engine that The Company has no control over. The following are some, not all, of the failures that are not covered under our limited warranty:

  1. Failure of parts not installed/purchased by Hauser Engine & Machine, LLC.
  2. Dirty or contaminated parts that were not cleaned or replaced that affect engine operation (i.e. oil pan, manifolds, covers, water pump, fuel pump, oil cooler, injectors, distributor, or carburetor/fuel injection systems).
  3. Failure caused by overheating, lack of lubrication, detonation/pre-ignition, or water flooding is not covered. Vehicle should be equipped with correct functioning gauges to monitor and determine engine temperature and oil pressure.
  4. Detonation, pre-ignition or lack of lubrication caused by lugging, poor fuel quality, improper ignition timing, lean or rich air/fuel mixture, overheating or manifold leaks. This can cause broken or melted pistons, scored piston rings and cylinders, blown head gaskets, and cracked heads/blocks.
  5. Failure due to engine being used for competition/racing or related purposes other than normal use.
  6. Any repairs or replacements required because of any accident or misuse.
  7. Any engine on which the periodic maintenance services required by the original manufacturer have not been performed and documented.
  8. Any engine which has been repaired or remodeled or modified by any person other than a certified technician without The Company’s consent or to which any device or accessory not conforming to original manufacturers specifications has been installed.
  9. Leaks caused by OEM engineering (poor casting, improper machining on seal areas) or installation errors.
  10. Transmission/Converter malfunctions that cause damage to engine.
  11. Tampering with odometer will void warranty.
